I nearly lost out on booking my tickets back to college in Pune ( via Mumbai) when I was using IRCTC’s online booking. The site just isnt compatible with Firefox, a fact which I was not aware of (I’d rather use IE than trying to work around because the tickets in Tatkal quota finish in 2-3 minutes of the counter opening).
IRCTC is not the only case, the same happens with most of the other websites run by the government, like those of the MCD & NDPL.
1. Whoever told your FF is Open Source ?
2. I certainly prefer not to be a rigid geek and lose my tickets. I’d rather not have an ego that stops me from using IE.

I dont want to be flamed… but I’ve started liking IE :-p
err, wikipedia did. IE isnt bad at all, just a lot less tweakable than ff, but thats just me. never mind.
You didnt answer me, hows it all going? still in pune?
I know that… but I still consider something like Wordpress to be open. You could tweak it anyway.
I am in Delhi right now.. would be leaving on 2nd. College is going great.
open the link nd find out what % standards ur browser supports. IE supports just 14/13% and they use a lot of prop. extensions…. which makes things lot more difficult than anything else(example :-ACTIVEX)

Dude, what is it with you and open source? The Indian programmers in the govt are still using IE 5. Hence the lack of support.
BTW, this is me Pulkit, from JKPS. How’s life treating?
