I’ve started work on The Symbi Unofficial Portal. This project is real big now, and would mark my leap from websites to portals (okay, now only I understand what it means!).

I am looking for some people from within the Symbi community to help me with graphics, coding and management of the portal in general. In the initial stages this WILL be voluntary, but we’ll do something, maybe profit sharing, if we at all land in profit. So, post a comment, or e-mail me if you’re interested!

The Great Depression

Oh no! I am not talking about the stock markets. I am not that boring.

It’s just that I am back in Delhi and I’ve been out shopping. I have finally bought some belts and my denims and trousers have gone even lower. My parents think this new “lower” is dangerously low and I risk those trousers coming off while I walk/bend. But they don’t know, it’s the belt! All my brethren with the low waist denims are actually helping create employment for the belt-makers! Now, isn’t that sweet ?

During these shopping trips, I’ve also bought a leather wallet and a reversible belt (black + brown) from Janpath at a combined price of INR 150. That’s a bargain!

Education in 2008.

My Elements of Information Technology (EIT) class ended around an hour ago. I’ve been studying this subject for four months now and I am yet to find a trace of IT. All I’ve wasted my precious time all these months is on number systems (binary, decimal, octal & hexadecimal), generations of computers (the teacher accepts it is of no use, but still thinks it is important for the exams. Well, if that is the case, then I guess even TinTin comics are better off than the question papers). I also studied, although without any concentration or interest whatsoever, the block diagram of a CPU which my teacher thinks is very much needed.

The teacher has completely no idea of what education is all about. For her teaching the subject is all about decorated answer sheets with neat pencil-made margins (she thinks we should still draw a margin allthough our answer sheets already have one). She still cares about how bad our handwriting is and how badly we scribble on our answer sheets.

Finally, after more than 3 months, I post something on here. This is a fresh wordpress installation just like my completely changed life here in SIU, Pune. The old blog had posts covering technology, politics etc. and was filled to the brim with spam comments.

This new blog will be purely about me. Period.
