Airtel Disturbs You, Now Proved

I got a new Airtel postpaid in the last week of January. When their executive came to get the documents verified, his records showed my name with my father’s name as my middle name, which I promptly got omitted (because none of my other official documents have it, I don’t use a middle name). He gave a stupid reply “Sir, this is Maharashtra, it is compulsory to use a middle name”. I still “forced” him to strike it out.

Now coming back to the topic, just 24 hours after I bought my connection and this “middle name” incident happened, I get a call from Bharti Axa Life Insurance’s Mumbai office selling me some oh-so-wow insurance policy. This executive called me by [<First Name> <Middle Name>] which makes it very obvious who was “selling” customers’ personal information. Note that both Airtel and Bharti Axa Life Insurance are associated to the Bharti group. I told the insurance salesman that I didn’t want one and hung up.

But this morning again, he called up again, and I was writing my Financial & Cost Accounting exam. The mobile rang right 30 minutes into the exam (okay my bad, I forgot to switch it off). Had it not been for the understanding invigilator, I would have been PWND.

Five Point Nothing

I just finished reading Chetan Bhagat’s Five Point Someone.

I somehow could not relate to the book and there is a very silly, although real reason for that. So here’s the shocker, how on earth did these 3 jokers miss most of their classes and still remain on the rolls. I mean here in my college, I have to have 75% attendance by hook or by crook to be even eligible for appearing in the exams.

Moving on to the part when Hari is caught in Professor Cherian’s car, no smartass would ever make that big a mistake to travel in the devil’s car on the devil’s campus, I mean just how careless could he get!

The book although is based on a true story, seemed like a fiction work wanting to be real-life-inspired.

I’ll not rate this more than 1.5 out of 5.

Wow! Mr. Deshmukh

Maharashtra’s CM Deshmukh has resigned. But like a true politician, he has spat some venom on the cameras. “The BJP Ministers did not resign after the attack on parliament”,

Just to remind you Mr Deshmukh, the terrorists involved in the attack were either killed on the spot or investigated and sentenced. It was your government who failed to execute the setence.

I hope you’ve got your facts right now.

A BJ!
